He first entered a monastery at the age of 16. Now in his 70's, Brother Victor-Antoine D'Avila-Latourrette models the lifestyle and beliefs of a Benedictine monk. The daily rituals of monasticism have shaped his life. 'An Instrument of Peace' peers into these practices and touches upon the deep insights they reveal.

Brother Victor has generously opened the doors of the Our Lady of the Resurrection Monastery to share with us the lived experience of Benedictine Monasticism.  Extending beyond a character study, 'An Instrument of Peace' exhibits a centuries-old tradition designed and devoted to the pursuit of peace; one that counters our familiar, fast-paced lives.

In October 2018, we launched a Kickstarter and raised over $8,000 from 45 generous backers.

"In a society where people move from thing to thing to thing endlessly, we take a vow of stability, to live and die in one place." -Brother Victor
